“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
– Margaret Mead
In 2015 – the year of the highly anticipated COP 21 climate talks in Paris – our responsibility will be sustaining the momentum from last year’s People’s Climate March and encourage even more people to participate in climate action. With Ban Ki-Moon stating that ours is the last generation to fight climate change, there is surely no better moment to bring in new voices and new stories to inspire climate action.
The Kiffisos River has been removed from the Athenians’ collective memory and covered by a highway. Let’s get together and create a “human river” connecting the Kiffissos River to the new artificial canal in construction at the Niarchos’ Park. This is a symbolic act to reconnect the people to their existing environment, own it, and embrace it!
